Endorsement: Paying the Price by Stephine Millwood:

Aquae Sulis seems to be the perfect club to train with and the coaches here are amazing. Andrew Turner is an amazing man. When-ever I am struggling in any way he is always there pushing me on! On the walk back to my car it is Andrew who sees the tired legs struggling and slight limping and always says something very motivating to keep me positive and strong!

  Coaching Achievements

My position as Assistant Coach to the Head Coach at Keynsham ASC, involved coaching Swimmers delivering both pool sessions and assisting with pre / post pool and land training sessions. I coached swimmers ,building rapport and working relationships with them, developing the swimmers both technically and mentally for competitive swimming and to deliver a structured and co-ordinated training programme.  I  encourage and motivate the swimmers to explore the stroke, commit to training and to become proficient in their techniques and skills.

Other achievements I pride myself with, is my ability to plan, deliver, adapt and review sessions to ensure the swimmers gain maximum benefit from each session. The ability to form a two-way relationship and feedback between swimmer and coach, using a variety of methods to gain the swimmers understanding of the skills they are working on. To ensure the swimmers understand the ‘progressive’ method of using Drills and techniques and why these are being implemented and the expected outcomes of these sessions. I use both visual and verbal instructions, as every swimmer learns independently using the form that best suits them. Reinforcing core skills, underwater phases and their ability to implement a process to achieve realistic expectations and results.

My name is Evie-Rose  and I am an assistant coach at A.N.T. Swimming. I’ve swam since the age of 5, starting performance swimming at only 10 years old. I started out on my performance pathway with Team Bath Aqua Sulis, then moving to City of Bristol at 13.  I’ve travelled around Britain with swimming, also going abroad on training camps. I’ve competed at Nationals multiple times, and even made finals there. I’ve had my fair shares of ups and downs with swimming, going through periods of not getting any faster, having to cope with stress from exams and handling my time well so I know how tough it can be. I’ve won trophies multiple times at high ranked competitions including regionals and counties. I am very passionate about swimming as it’s always been a big part of my life, and I'm looking forward to helping develop swimmers with A.N.T. Swimming.
